黎明之前，从大一开始，周锦宇就在新中国第一位藏族博士王育华教授和张加驰教授的指导下，开展稀土光功能材料的基础研究。长白山位于吉林省和朝鲜的交界处，除了天池的1/3和东坡，其余都位于中国境内。。
