九色国内大小兴安岭林区大兴安岭莫尔道嘎国家森林公园是大小安岭观赏红叶的最佳地点，它是我国最后一片寒温带原始森林，兼有呼伦贝尔草原道大兴安岭西北坡过渡带的地质地貌景观，其原始林区素有落叶松故乡之称，树种以落叶松为主（占75％），其次为白桦（占14％），故秋色以橘红和黄色为主。
